About
The Speak Up Now Campaign is a behavioural health awareness campaign for children, aimed at promoting overall well-being of children, reducing societal stigma surrounding mental health, having healthy school-life balance, identifying negative behavioural patterns among children such as trauma, anxiety, abuse, suicide, social isolation, aggression, violence, stress, neglect, domestic violence, bullying, peer influence, academic challenges e.t.c.



Situation Analysis
- According to United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) one in every six children in Nigeria is depressed.
- One in 6 Nigerian children aged 2–8 years had a diagnosed mental, behavioral, or developmental disorder. The prevalence of mental disorders changes with age Diagnoses of ADHD, anxiety, and depression become more common with age, according to Nigeria Health Guide Statistics.
- A third of girls and nearly 1 in 6 boys experienced their first incident of sexual violence between 14 and 15, while almost a third of boys and approximately 1 in 5 girls experience their first incident of sexual violence at 13 years and younger (UNICEF).
